Great timing and a wonderful setting and composure. I really like this image. A good range of tones, I wonder if some of the whites around the neck are just a little hot?

Hi Chris, you pretty much nailed this all round. Very well timed, and I like the detail and sharpness. Good to see the FE framed between the foliage at the LLC, and the perch on the URC. Well captured.

Neat landing pose, and I like the perch on corner and distant trees in the opposite one. I agree some whites on the neck seem hot as posted.

    All the best for 2012!!

Thanks everyone it's much appreciated. I will have a look at the whites around the neck and tone it down a bit.

Chris, other than the hot spot, everything looks great. Really well composed. Nice wing position that shows the broad powerful wings.
