    Happy New Year to all!

This is another image I have revisited from my 2009 trip to South Africa. This is the same leopard from my "Intensity" post a few days ago. A few wished for more of a turn towards camera so here it is.

    Canon 50D
    100-400 @ 400mm
    1/500
    f8
    ISO400
HH from a safari vehicle, luminousity mask, levels and sharpened in CS5. Cropped to remove some foliage.

    C&C welcome and appreciated. Thanks,

    Rachel

    Hi Rachel,
Lovely post. I really like the little flies on the ears and the one hovering over the right ear. I also like the stray piece of grass on the left that follows the curve of the leopards' body. I might take a sliver off the RHS to really draw the eye yo the leopard.

    Rachel,
The detail is excellent on this one and it really looks like its getting ready to walk out onto my desk. Your "revisiting" is really working out nice!

    Hi Rachel,
You said it the head turn towards the camera would have made it a killer image The quality and the feel of the image is very good.

Hi Rachel, you are certainly proving that what you have shot was good, it just needed a bit of perseverance in your workflow and PS.

Great detail & colour, just wonder if a slight tweak in Levels just to open up a 'fraction' applied just to the Leopard's face? You could also try a square crop, although I am not a great one for the format, it might offer an alternative with the space to the RHS?

Great details and processing here Rachel. I might be tempted to add a hint of saturation to the leopard just to add some "pop"...
I certainly prefer the POV of your previous image, it just has something different IMHO as this is closer to the "stock standard" image a lot of people have (not that there's anything wrong with getting those shots, I do so myself ).

Thanks Steve and Morkel. Here's a repost with the slight levels tweak and a slight boost in saturation. WDYT?

    Thanks again,
    Rachel
