Here is my last post for this year. I wish a very good 2012 for the whole BPN community. Thanks to all of you for everything I have learned here in 2011.

This image was taken in a small island in Yucatan during this time home in Mexico.

Brilliant composition and perfect techs Lorant. I guess it is almost impossible to get full frame in focus considering the focal length. Next time if possible try focus stacking technique. Once frame with focus point on head and another frame with focus point on the lower part of the beak. Once you compose the shot, lock the tripod and take two shots by just moving the focus points around.
Here is an example of focus stacking technique.

That is one killer image Lorant! I love it--very powerful. Sid has a great tip. Reminds me of when I used to do macro and would use Helicon Focus, focusing on different parts of a flower and then stacking.
This is just a stunning image though and the eyes are as sharp as can be, which is the most important thing.

Lorant, i like this shot a lot.

Just my thought, but I like the DOF the way it is as it takes me right to the eyes. I am not sure it would have the same impact if the bill was all in focus.

BTW I see a small dust bunny in the ULC by the feathers you may want to take care of.

Great shot to end off the year... TFS

Lorant, this is very high on the impact factor. Well seen and composed.
