    My first encounter with a Snowy Owl. Hope it won't be the last....

    I would have liked to have gotten a bit more on sun angle but that was not possible. Approx 70% of FF. A little D&B, NR on background and Smart Sharpen.
    Mk3, 500+ 2X (1000mm) ISO 800, 1/1600 @ F/8

    very nice pose and a display of habitat, image is a bit muted and the bright half of the face looks overexposed. TFS

    Neil:

    Great to get a new one! I am still working on the snowy owl siting!

    I like the slightly monochromatic look, but agree that the left side of the face as we view it is somewhat overexposed.

    Neil,

    Like the comp, habitat and very nice look back pose. I guess hard light conditions. Better luck next time.
