This image is a fraction of a second before the "Up and Over" posted by D. Robert Franz. He led a fantastic trip and we really had more than expected with the fights of "Battling Bighorns. The whole sequence was amazing since the ram flipping landed on his feet. Having shot film years ago. I was amazed at the clarity at ISO 1000 with my iD MK IV.

    Steve,

Just at the moment of impact... How cool is that. 10 fps is great but the 12 fps in the new 1DX could be really nice in this kind of action. This kind of image would have been very dificutl to capture back in the day! Exposure here is right on. Love it.

You nailed the moment, and it looks painful!
    Nice job.

An impressive action and behaviour shot! I especially like the composition in here.

This would be a great ad for Tylenol or any headache medicine. It hurts just to look at it. Great action. Do you have a sliver more room on RHS? Well done.

thanks for the comments. This is full frame, I guess I could add more to the right side, but it would be from pixels added and not the original image. the thing that amazed me was that they just stood together a lot just after impact. I would think of it as a recovery time before the next hit.Tylenol anyone?

Great timing here Steve! I am always amazed at the force with which these guys collide. Sounds like it was a great tour!
I like the framing/space just fine.
