    This lovely guy was posing for a bunch of photographers this past Saturday at Green Cay. He was about the only interesting thing going on at that time.

    Nikon D200
    Sigma 50-500mm w/1.4 tc
    Focal length:700mm
    Aperture priority
    F/9
    1/250sec
    ISO 400
    Exposure Comp:-1
    Manual Focus

    You clipped the tail, otherwise very nice photo....

    Hey Oscar,
    Very nice composition; but...:eek: you cut his tail off...:( OUCH...:D
    I did just a couple of tweaks to the image like kicking up the contrast, increased the saturation just a wee bit, and added a slight touch of sharpening...:D:D:D

    On this one I did a little work on CS3, but as you know I'm just getting my feet wet with it and i didn't want to over do it. I like yours a lot. I don't think I did any sharpening to my.

    Gus is on a tear !!!! I like the changes and pointing out the tip of the tail is missing !!!!

    You did well in waiting for the bird to look back Oscar !!!! Also got him at a decent angle !!! Looks like we are running out of birds in our area !!!!

    great job, oscar!!! exposure looks spot on!! and gus did a great job on the repost!! the only thing i would change on the repost is that hotspot on the palm tree just right of his neck. kinda distracting. good job to all!!

    Oh! I really like the repetition of the barred wings on the horizontal lines of the tree bark! I also really like the position of the bird's eye in the frame!
    Other than what has already been said, it looks great!
    ...oh, and I think "this lovely guy" is actually a lovely lady
