Have you had enough of least Bitterns

They were hunting right out in the open that afternoon so was really great getting them in all sorts of positions.:D Taken with the D300, Nikon 500mm lens with the 1.4TC, iso 1000, f7.1, 1/500.

Very nice alert pose. I might crop a bit off the bottom.

Hi Nancy, like your composition and bird placement the background looks good; showing the habitat...:) For my taste, I would tone down the hue on the greens...:D

Very nice pose of a species that I have nothing on Nancy. The image seems over saturated on my monitor.

It could just be my eyes, or an optical illusion, but it also looks as if this image could do with a touch of CW rotation.

Sharp, great posture and head angle, and definitely over-SAT-ed. If there was clear water below including the whole REFL here would have been the bomb.

Thanks all for you comments. The funny thing is I used no extra saturation and even desaturated the BG. I will look at a little more desaturation.

    Thanks all

Excellent shot, on my monitor it does not look saturated and the cropping is a personal thin g.

Oh man.... this is nice but why not get the whole reflection?? You could of kill two in one!! by removing the busy BG and keeping the full reflection.
