    Default Great Blue Heron

Created on a cold wet fall morning , this guy allowed me an incredibly close approach , full frame with a Rebel XT and 200 F/2.8L , 1/200 sec @ F/5.6 , ISO 400

    Hi Wayne,

Nicely composed and sharp where it needs to be. The focus seems to be in the tip of the bill, leaving the rest of the face a little softer. Wish you had made a bit of noise to get him to turn his head some towards you.

That raised crest is priceless :)

I like the soft light, BG and hairdo in this one. I agree with Fabs regarding the head turn and wish for a bit wider DOF.

Nice bg and raised crest in this GBH closeup. I too wish the head was turned slightly towards you.
