    Original is in Birds.
A simple manipulation of the original ended with this. I used saturation and contrast adjustments to mychoice and then Pixel bender oil paint, adjusting the sliders to get this effect.

You achieved a great effect using Pixel Bender. I know waxwings are very active when feeding and this effect really enhances the feeling of movement. Great compostion with the waxwings on the outside of the juniper & some with their wings open. Very well done!

Steve, I love cedar waxwings and I love your PB treatment. I like the golds in the trees blending with the colors in the waxwings also.

I'm normally not a big fan of pixel bender but in this case, it's just right. The swirl of the leaves adds to the flurry of the many birds all so very active themselves. And the bit of swirl in the almost white background echoes it all. Well done.
