My Christmas present to you. A few branches removed and a bit of a midtone contrast boost.

Great calling pose and nice DOF. I like the inclusion of the habitat here and do not find the background to be distracting...Although I might try a version with OOF branch behind the bird removed.

I didn't find the OP too bad, but Doug's repost does clean it up very nicely! Great calling pose, and I like the perch and all the greenery (and I'd add some of that green back near the lower mandible on the repost, like on the OP).

    Ramesh:

Lots of neat stuff here, calling pose, angle in frame, sharp, exposure. I like the yellow in surroundings which plays well with the birds yellow markings.

Doug's repost cleans up the BG nicely. I might remove the floating green area that extends from the lower mandible to the right.

    Well captured.

    Cheers

I also thought the OP was very nice.
Doug's works well also. Very attractive hawk and I like the foliage on the perch.

Hi Ramesh, love the calling pose, sharp, with good feather detail. This image has a nice 3D feel to it, and I do like what Doug has done by removing some of the distracting BG.

Ramesh, I also dont mind the BG in the OP. key is that there is no twig behind the head....the bird is nicely in the V. Doug's repost looks better of course with the cleanup. Incredbile shot. Calling pose with head turn and eye-level shooting angle....doesn't happen every day with these birds.
