Nice one Ofer - like the different coloured stones here. I have always liked the red skin around the eye and the strong black markings of this species. Personal choice, but being this close up I may clean up the beak shine. well done getting close to these little birds - must have taken some effort.

I'm with Tom about the pebbles...very nice with the different colours. I'm also with him for the bill shine...I'm OK with some of it, but would for sure remove the two white spots near the nostril. All else looks great...and I'd be OK with more images of this beautiful shorebird!!

The DOF is really nice Ofer and I agree with all about the cool looking pebbles.
They compliment and go with the bird colors perfectly.

    Thanks for your comments guys!
Daniel, I am not keen on removing elements from the image unless really necessary. The bill shine results from the bill being wet - which is part of the story. I am not a fan of a too sterile images.

Hi Ofer, you seem to always capture these guys literally parallel to you, which of course they give you a great pose. Another lovely low angle, a mixture of colours shown, and your usual high standard of sharpness. I do like the OOF BG. Im fine with the OOF FG, but if this were mine, I would have added a touch more below.
