Default Ashy crowned lark - earthy monotone

    Hello,
Shot this at ground level the other day. Crawled close to the bird little by little as it went about foraging in the morning light.

An example of how well these blend/camouflage.

Pretty close to full frame, standard USM, saturation adjustment.

    Canon 450D, Sigma 150-500 OS, handheld, ISO 800, f8, 1/3200, -1/3 EV

    C&C sought :)

    Cheers,
    Hayath

Very nice Hayath. Beautiful low angle and warm tones. Nice and sharp. The only thing I would wish for is a better head angle- a modest CW turn towards you would have been optimal.

Great to see such an exotic lark species!

    Hayath,

Good comments above and love the species. The image seems too saturated might dial it down a bit. I might take a small layer off the bottom as well and eliminate the OOF bottom edge.

Thank you Jeff for the feedback and inputs. I retained the bottom to give the shot a better sense of depth, but yes can see what you mean :)

    Cheers,
    Hayath
