    Hi Dan, good attentive stare, and I like the DOF from head to tip of tail. Overall, the hawk is nice and sharp, and the only downside to the image is that I feel the angle is a touch steep.

    I also like the stare, sharpness and detail. Agree regarding the steep shooting angle and also find the bird a bit too tight in the frame as presented.

    I like it all but the steep angle. Nice feather detail.

    good comments above, it is a handsome raptor, main issue here is the steep angle

    Thanks all, this guy was so close and I had a stream at my back and could not back up.
    I had to take off my extender to get it in the frame.
    It was a very handsome bird.
