    A Red Squirrel I photographed at a feeder yesterday during the early stages of the 15-inch snowfall we received. Spring? What Spring!? :) I like the way he is using his tail as an umbrella. 40D, 500 f/4, 1/160, f/8, ISO 400. I used quick mask to remove some distracting elements and cropped for composition. The left side is the frame edge. Comments are welcome.

    That is one cold looking critter !!!!! I feel for him !!!!

    Does look neat how he is using the tail I like the sharpness and detail Bg looks very good and love the snow which btw we haven't had much around here this winter !!!!!

    Good job. Very appealing. Effective depth of field and great pose. It really conveys the feeling of cold.

    No nits here. Especially like tight crop!!!:D:D:D
    All of it is very good......sorry about the snow.......but then it wouldn't be such a cool picture. Spring is definitely in the air in NJ,

    I like the eye contact, snow and water drops on the whiskers and the paws under the chin. Well done.

    Very cute photo and appropriate title. I like the falling snow.
