This is a nesting pair of Great Blue Herons in Wakodahatchee Wetlands) and the bird on the left is a Wurdemann's Morph. This Morph is seen from time to time here in south Florida. See Sibley's Guide, Page 60 for description and drawing. We usually see the all white Morph in the Florida Keys and the Everglades. This image (I have others) is presented, not as an example of great or even good photography, but as a record of this seldom-seen bird.

Great sighting and nice comparision image, with the differences quite clear. Since you did post it in the critique forum, I'll add a small bit Tough light to get both equally lit, and stopping down more would have helped you get both individuals sharp...just someting to think about next time you encounter a similar situation. Nice colours, and good alternating poses. Thaks for sharing!
