Falcated Duck Sighting IN California
Colusa NWR California was first sighted Dec 8 and is still hanging around as of 12/23 has caused quite a bit of traffic at this refuge luckily it has been hanging out in a convenient area right near the observation deck. Supposedly only the 3rd sighting in California
One of the best shots that I've seen of THE DUCK, Chris! He's being seen this morning as well. Great bird!
Yes he was out and very active this morning took my Mom out to see him. He was actively feeding when we arrived. First day I saw it it was sunset and light was at a bad angle, second day a better light. Today was fantastic he was a little closer to the viewing platform.
Amazing sighting. It's from east Asia so I guess it took a wrong turn east on migration.
Took a wrong turn at the Aleutians.

This duck was still present as of a day or two ago!
Stopped by there Sunday 2/5 the volunteer said it had not been seen for 3 days. But then the ducks have spread out a bit since Duck season closed
