Created at Silver Salmon Creek Lodge in August of 2007 while co-leader on BAA IPT.

This image is a Tier 2 (Top-100) 2008 NANPA Members' Showcase winner. The log is not cloned as no elements were removed. The image is a stitch of two images. The first shows the two bears with the right edge of the image 8 to 10 inches from the dark bears' paw. The stitched image is a few frames later in the sequence from a selection to the right of the dark bear (the reason being that at this point the bears ran right a few more steps and then turned towards us running so I used a frame a few moments after the turn that was the correct perspective). The log comes from the stitched image.

    Comments welcome.

    Robert,
I saw this one in the magazine sent out by NANPA and thought that it rocked. I am shocked that it's a stitched image. But I feel obligated to offer some criticism, so I might suggest cropped a hair from the bottom to eliminate that sliver of reflection near the bottom-right corner. It's almost not worth mentioning :D

Well done Robert. A great panoramic and superb stitching. The colours and light are spot on too.

    Hi Robert!

The image is stunning, and impressive as a stitched panorama. I love the story, the chase, the drama, the interaction, and the expressions. Very nice! Congratulations on the award!
