I like the diagonal line the neck creates in this image. Nice overcast light and although I wish for a bit of a head turn towards the camera ,the gaze into the right makes me wonder what is the leopard looking at?

A good looking leopard Ratchel. I also wish he was looking slightly more towards the camera. Lovely soft light and smooth BG TFS

Whilst I agree with the previous comments I do like this a lot. Very nicely presented.

Thanks Gail, Vivaldo and Hilary. I can't remember if there was anything specific the leopard was looking at or if it was just searching for breakfast in general. I should have said that one of the things I liked about the profile was that we could see the convex lens of the eye.

    Thanks again,
    Rachel

    WOW Rachel!

Where have you been hiding this one, it's excellent, great profile and your explanations re the eye is spot on, nice thinking on the shot. My only thought/comment would be to add a bit more in Levels moving the RH slider to the left and a little H/S.

    Lovely image Rachel, congratulations.

It's quite a subtle change Rachel, but do you think it's better?

Personally I might have pushed the Levels a little more, but as I say, those tweaks are more of a subtle move.

    Have a great Xmas.

Steve - I do like it. I always find it easier to see the changes, especially when subtle, by toggling between the two. I pulled the rh slider to 235.

    Have a great Christmas too!

Yep, I tend to have the two pages side by side, or best, open in PS. Blowing a gale & fat rain here at present, lucky it's not the night for Santa.

    Rachel,

I like the second post. I think you hit the right level of luminance for the image.

Superb portrait here Rachel - sorry for missing this one...
Repost takes it up a notch!! Might tweak levels a bit more as Steve suggested. I love that eye!

Thanks Dumay and Harshad. Harshad - I never mind, just a bit too saturated and orange/yellow for my taste though.

    Thanks again,
    Rachel
