Very cool fiery blur. Thanks for the how-to. I might evict the spots although they do look a little like sparks from a fire.

The spots are stars.
I used a flashlight with a red filter to paint myself.
Of the 20 second exposure I was only in it for 5 seconds.

The left side of your body (right side as we're looking at the image) forms a very effective curve that enhances the composition. And I like the way the shadows become part of the background. Light painting has to be fun. I've gotta try it.

Great dramatic OOTB effect, James. Like the blur and the red filtered flashlight worked well to set the mood. Good choice, as red is associated with anger. Your facial expression helps too!
