Love those spoonbills and their beautiful moves. This guy (or gal?) in the mangroves was coming in for a graceful landing. Photographed from Jame's Shadle's boat. I didn't do much in the way of PP. It is cropped to vertical. Do you think the mangrove BG should be removed?

love the colors on this one. I'd try burning the mangroves but not cloning them out altogether.

Excellent pose and lovely pink colors in it's natural habitat! So no removal, it's a real addition to the image, we have seen enough blurred BG's.

Great picture, love the detail on the bird and colors. My only two small nits are the green on the bottom are bit noisy and wish for more space in front of the bird. The background does not bother me, IMO it adds to the picture.

Really interesting pose. I wish for the image to have been made about half a second sooner before the bird passed the directly in front of you point. I like the BG as is, but if it bothers you, I would try a bit of darkening and desaturation rather than total removal.

    Hi Susan,

Love the colors and exposure. You also did well with the pose but too tight for my taste.
