I am calling this a portrait, because I don't know how you could get closer or lower to these guys.

Wonderful colors on his head, love the trailing pink feet, the droplets and the bow wake. Wish for a bit more room on the left and also think that the comp could be improved by decentering the subject vertically. ( I think I would take from the bottom). Wish for a good crack at these beauties myself, hard to get close to where I live (Long Island).

The drops on the face are great as well as the colors. Is that his little foot on the left?.

Love the trailing feet and the swell he is creating.
Agree with taking some from the bottom, along with a sliver from the top.

    Wow Dan,
The thumbprint doesn't do this justice. Love the trailing feet but wish for more room on the left. Great IQ and I like the iridescent colors. Nice bow wake as well,
    Gail

I wouldn't take any from the bottom...just a bit form the top. Great low angle and colours on the head. I don't know how you managed to ge so close to a bufflelhead, but I think my closest to one yet is approximately 84 yards (and swimming away...)

Real nice shot. Great head angle, love the colors in the head, and nice shooting angle.
    Well done.
