    An iconic cormorant image, with that emerald eye showing well, like the detail in the bill and BG.

    The crop bothers me a little, wish there was a bit more on left, to show the full curve of the neck. and a bit off the top to give it a bit of a pano feel.

    Well exposed.

    Good techs, nice details, and beautiful colours. You got a nice BG too. The repost has a better comp (the clipped back of head on the OP wasn't ideal), but on both I think you cut the neck too short.

    BTW, I prefer the eye, bill, and the blacks on the OP...

    I agree about your comments on the colors, etc. I don't believe it is the same frame based on pupil, nictitating membrane, fluff on end of bill.
