    Hi Folks;

    Another prentation that was fun because:

    ACDsee 14 has so many neat options, just clicking "special effects" gives you over 40 selections, one of which was water where you can create any size reflection you desire.

    How I created this>opened CS5>New>1024x800 px 72 resolution white BG>OK>using color picker I selected FG a light green,BG a dark green. Then Filter>render>clouds>Saved

    Opened Saved BG in free FotoSketcher>click on pallet Icon>Oil painting (8)>Deselect frame>use default texture>Draw>saved

    Opened saved Fotosketcher BG in CS5>File>open>Northern Cardinal>openBG in Workplace>Click Move icon>Move Cardinal on top of BG>Using BG eraser 40% opacity I went around outline of cardinal erasing Cardinal photo BG to reveal finished BG> used eraser to finish revealing all of the finished BG>Flatten>saved.

    Opened saved Cardinal and opened it in ACDsee 14>special effects>water height adjusted>Done>Click Border>Drop shadow, selected color & size>Saved
    .
    Open in CS5 for sig and minor finishing touches with slight curves.>saved.

    Comments always welcome and appreciated

    Gus, I like the pose. I might add some cyan to the red channel if it were mine. It might be nice to add some of the flood behind the rock so it looks like it was sitting in the water not behind it. The textured BG is nice.

    Great repost Gus. The colors look great. Really nice pose and eye contact form the cardinal. Nice work, and, thanks for sharing the workflow.

    Gus,

    Love the stance of the cardinal. The background and color is great. Overall, a well conceived pic!
