After the storm kept the refuge closed for two days, this was the scene on my first day in. Absolutely surreal. This is what I saw, the only pp I did was to remove a dust spot and slightly level the horizon, pulled down the exposure 1/3 stop and sightly sharpened. A magical place, ever changing.

Lovely birdscape. Very unusual colors-reminds me of the old fashion lithographs. I like the steam and the fact that none of the birds in the air are touching each other. I really like the horizontal layers of dark and bright. Definitely a different perspective and a contest entry,

Another very creative image from you Grace. It makes me want to go there and experience the bad weather you had! I love the uncoloured look of this colour photo. Are those mostly pintails coming in?

Grace, I like the artistic look to this. The color tone is lovely.

Fantastic image, Grace. Love the shades here, perfect composition and the sense of depth. Very atmospheric. Your pictures are giving me a great sense of what it's like to be there (and making me shiver!)

Sweet image Grace. Brings back memories of the unusual weather conditions we experienced there. I think you , as well as the rest of us worked hard to make the best of it , and it seems to have paid off.

Thanks everyone, and mostly thanks to Mother Nature for offering this to us. I don't know if I could call what we did out there "work", Joe, but it did take some effort, didn't it?
