Another shot of a Red Kite taken at Gigrin Farm in Wales. This time the bird is feeding on the wing, as they are one of the few species that do not have to land to feed. In fact they hardly ever land on the ground, they will circle over the feeding area and then swoop down and grab food from the ground without stopping. I had tried to get some cpatures of this behaviour and only manged about 3 shots so I will post one later this week.
This is a great looking kite John and the action you captured is awesome. I normally dont like images of birds flying out of the frame but I do like this one. Good job of exposure in the tough lighting.
