    Default A Juvenile

Here's a juvenile Snow Goose from my last Bosque visit. The pose is dynamic and I like the placement of the bird relative to the mountain in the BG.

Another great one Doug. The bkg complements the terrific action you've captured here, with excellent pose, exposure and sharpness.

    Doug:

Don't see the juvis that often, so I like it, plus the little matter of great techs, framing from the mountain, repeating curves of mountains and wings.

Like the ruffled feathers on the back, pose, light.

Crop works for me, because of the pose and head angle.

    Cheers

I like if for the same reasons that you do, Doug. Plus, you've got just the right amount of blur in the wings to convey a sense of motion.

Another masterpiece Doug. Someday consider posting an image with something to critique.

OK, since this is a critique forum, I will say, as good as this is, the near wing could be more in focus.
Otherwise, I just wish I had taken it.

Thanks Ramesh. I have two other frames from the series, but this was my favorite.

    Doug,
Perfect shot as expected. Like the soft light, DOF & wing position.

Another beauty taken with the 600mm f4 HH.... You should try the 800 f5.6 - much nicer to hold and easier on the body....
