Tom. this is one very beautiful shot. i love the seaweed same as you. but the coulours are a little overpowering compared to the bird. I did a little bit of work on this Do let me know if ok. I selectively Ran Nr and also dulled the colours in the Bg a little and sharpened the bird a little. Do let me know if this works. I the slope the natural slope of the beach you shot this at? I dont mind it though!!!!!

The heavily forced angle in the image works well offering an especially appealing upward angle to the turnstone's quizzical look. Nice marine environment with the sand on the beak reflecting the bird's recent foraging behavior that would be very interesting to see in its surroundings.

A nice habitat shot of this bird! I have tried to level the slope and it works very well - makes me wonder whether this tilt is really necessary - maybe not so much?

Another vote for less tilt. I do love the seaweed as well and would tone down the yellows as well in the BG. I like the head turn and the sand on the beak. A few minor tweaks and you have a very nice image,

I like what you have done with the BG but the bird looks too crispy, oversharpened, too me. Thanks for taking the time to try new things with the image.

My tripod was level here and this was the slope of the sand down to the water - I presented it as it is. Pretty steep though!!
