I reworked this older image of a Least Grebes for the bathing theme I probably posted this before in 08 when the image was made but I like the reworked image and is a good example why you should keep your Raw files as the new tools in ACR improved the conversion.

Nice blues and golds in this image. Lots of water droplets so you get bonus points for that! Kind of a crazy pose and that wild looking eye is cool,

Very nice one Don. I love the eye, and I can feel the body's twisting motion. Techs and processing look good. I'd only prefer less room below and more above.

I does have a motion feel to it and I like the crazy pose.
I think the room at the bottom is fine, the water has a nice quality, I would just add some to the top if you have it.

Awesome light & color to go with the energetic, dynamic action pose. Love that wild orange eye, wet feathers and drops. Great IQ and composition

Sharp, beautifully processed, and a sweet background. In an ideal world you would have caught the head rotated slightly towards you rather than slightly away.

...and all this talk of keeping raw files and reworking them later serves as a hint to next month's theme....

P.S. The repost with extra room above is very nice!

I like it . The eye is good and sharp and the movement and water makes it fun. Nice low angle too.
