    Default Black Ibis

Black Ibis Pseudibis papillosa Close up... Shot at local Lake at evening.

    With Canon 550D, Tamron 70-300mm

    F- 5.6
    ISO:400
    SS:1/1250s
Focal length:300mm ( Little close to Bird.)
Only 10 % Crop. Hand held.

I Did not take the shot with head turned to me. The the sun rays are in opposite direction.. And if head turned to me its come totally black. so I decided to take this angle shot..And After all, I get single shot of this bird because I am little close

Hi Joshi, pity about the light angle, as Ibis's show off lovely colours when the light is cast on their plumage. Its always best to get into a position with the light behind you, as you will always come away with great results.

this image doesn't really work as an avian photo, the light angle is off casting dark shadows with no detail and the head is angled away from us, too much contrast has rendered a harsh bokeh. To get best results try to put the sun behind you next time

Harsh light and less than ideal light angle did not make life easy for you here. Best try to get a better light angle...and sometimes its' better to just observe the subject with the eyes (unless of course if this was a once in a lifetime opportunity...)
