Hello everyone. Well the other day I decided to pay a little visit to pair of owls that have been in the same location for over a year. They are pretty comfortable with my presence as long as I approach them very slow. Day was pretty cloudy so light was not all that great. This is FF cleaned up the dirt a bit.

It's a lovely shot nicely exposed and focussed. My only suggestion is that it appears to have been taken from a slightly high viewpoint, had it been taken slightly lower the head and the tip of the tail may also have been in focus but I also think the image would have been more powerful. Having said that it may not have been practicable I do not know what the rest of the background looked like.

Nice and sharp. Agree with Jonathan regarding the shooting angle and maybe a bit tight in the frame especially at the bottom.

I agree with the above comments! Definitely need a bit more room at the bottom. I like the direct gaze and feather detail.Personally, I prefer both legs to be visible but that is a matter of taste. TFS,

Hi Robert, love the one legged pose, together with those lovely large yellow eyes staring at you. Im fine with the DOF as is, and the overall feather detail is nice and sharp. Another vote for having a lower angle, and adding more space right and bottom will work.
