This is probably the most reliable of the regulars at my feeder. The pair is always there from dawn to dusk, so common a sight that I almost never photograph them. But they're usually on the ground and not on a perch. Was trying to catch Chickadees in flight, but the light was nice on this guy when he perched, so I couldn't resist. Cropped from horizontal; full height. (Maybe a bit tight on the sides for some, but I didn't want a square crop.) C&C always appreciated.

Sharp. A nice pose and I love the turkey lichens--I forget what the call them. Too tight and a bit too contrasty for me.

Hi Bill, these common subjects can always give us great opportunities as you have done here. Super pose, and I like the feather detail on the wing. The dove stands out nicely against the darker BG.
Lovely shot of the dove, as for the background, I don't dislike it but I would consider desaturating it a little and also brightening it just to see how the result appears.
Thank you all for your comments. I sort of liked the way he stood out from the dark green BG, but I can see it might be too stark for some. I'll play with the BG as Jonathan suggested.
