    No eye contact possible -- it was standing motionless watching small fish in the channel. Foot was quivering with anticipation of breakfast.

    I like this , the BG is a bit messy but the reeds are its habitat

    I really like this image as it shows the intense stare typical of a bittern fishing. Good habitat image. Even got the reflection!

    Nice job Don. Just love that intensity and that raised outspread foot. Would perhaps try a bit more sharpening on the eye.I would be tempted to clone out the reflection of the horizontal stick as it distracts the eye a bit. But really like this.
