Just a quick break from Kalahari predators......
Dug this one up from our road trip in April this year. Two blesbuck males having a tiff in pre-dawn light on the plains of the Karoo desert (Mountain Zebra National Park, South Africa).

Nice. The animals are well placed in this composition in the lighter grass and below the darker mountain BG. The slope leading to the left and the nice vista through the opening help draw the eye to that part of the frame and in turn to the action of the two. The sky is nice as well. Well done.

    Morkel,

On an overall basis this image has an interesting mood, but I am not to sure that the detail on the Blesbok is sufficient to hold my attention.

I bet you wish you could go back to this moment with your D3s Morkel. I like the moment but for me I find the Blesbok disapear into the image too much. I do like your eye for image and I'd keep it but adjust the horizon a tad.

Really like the setting for this one Morkel, great light and the sparing Blesbuck.

Love the lighting and BG setting here Morkel, would wish for the pair to be parallel to the focal plane perhaps, but would be happy to have this.

Lovely mood and colours. I like the scene with the mountains in the BG. I have to agree with above comments, pity the besbuck weren't a bit closer TFS

Thanks for the comments, folks. I had to make due with the gear at my disposal, and personally am happy with how this came out. I have shots that are more 'zoomed in' but like the size of the animals here as I wanted to frame wider
