It was an overcast day at Mankwe, but the soft light assisted with the exposure on this difficult customer's glossy feathers...

This is beautiful looking bird...nice details, beautiful exposure, smooth BG and near perfect HA...but the OOF part of perch in FG is bit distracting and the bird is little large in frame for my taste...

I like the pose, HA, exposure and clean BG. Ditto Sachins comments about the perch and size of the bird in the frame. Well done!

Soft light worked in your favor. This is one beautiful subject. Great color and detail in this capture. Might try to tone down the perch a bit. Especially the OOF end which is a bit dis-tracting.

What a great shot for a 7D at an ISO of 1000. You handled the camera well. I really like the twisty perch and agree about trying to tone down the OOF area. I would also like to see a bit more room all around. BG is yummy and I like the way the grey blends to beige and to green. Would love to see this bird IRL,

A great looking bird, and you did wonderfully with its colours. Perfect HA and very appealing BG. the perch looks great for the most part, just too bad about the curled part obstructing the view of the feet.

You did a great job on those iridescent colors. Very nice details on the feathers and that contrasting red is lovely. Just a bit more space around the bird would be nice.
