    Having a ball feeding on a huge soldier ant swarm, love the ants on the trunk

    Just back from another wonderful 3 months in CR, some great shots to share!

    Richard you captured him in good light..this is sharp and nice...Do you have some more space at top? If mine I will leave some more space at top..
    wish head was turned slightly towards you for better eye contact but as this one is busy with feast he surely is not interested in posing for you..

    HA have many with better but liked the ants in the shot not present in some with top HA
    Understand your more at top, no problem have space.

    Welcome back Richard,
    I really like the ants as well. I wish the angle wasn't so steep.I also see a bluish cast in the beak. I like the IQ and the comp. Looking forward to seeing more of your pics

    What a nice bird! Very well exposed with fine details. I always enjoy to see new species, so the steep angle & HA not bothering me. TFS

    Welcome back Richard!! It sure sounds like you had a good (and productive) time! Steep angle and HA are may two main issues too, but love the ants and you got some nice details on the bird's plumage.

    There's a bit of a smudge on your name...
