    Default Southern Carmine Bee Eater

    A Southern Carmine Bee Eater at the south bank of Luangwa River, South Luangwa, Zambia.
    Taken from the high bank. The grey BG is the river.
    50D, 400mm f/5.6, 1/2500s, f/6.3, ISO-800, Ap Prio.

    The incredible color of the bird looks great against the gray-blue of the water. Perfect pose accentuates the length of the bird. Excellent eye contact and sharpness. I'd like to see this one 1024 pixels wide in a repost.

    Hi Prabir, these guys have wonderful colours, and Im jealous, as I have other Bee eaters, but not a Carmen BE. Cool pose stretched across the frame, and I like the perch. Just a question, did you just resize your OP, or have you reworked the whole image. I ask that as your repost lacks the IQ of your OP.

    Stuart, thank you very much. I had to re-work to get a 1024 wide from the original as I had only 800 wide JPEG.
    As I'd had a problem with my desktop which has a 21" TFT, I worked on my 15" laptop. The quality seems to have suffered a bit.
    I'll check tomorrow after my desktop is fixed.
