Lovely light captured. Where was it taken?

Vivaldo,
Great pose and interestingly bare ground, looks just a tad to red on my monitor, but it might have been the time of day?

Great colours - the barren landscapoe really help show this guy off.
Personally I would just drop use curves to darken it slightly.

Hi Vivaldo, cool looking image, but I thought you could have upped the ISO on the D3 a fraction more, so you could have had some more DOF & SS. Is this a crop?

Steve I croped out some forground and a bit on the right side. I agree with you on SS settings. I was learning those days, took this a few year ago

AHHA,
cheers Vivaldo, I just thought it didn't quite have that edge, compared to your recent images.

Got to love those Kalahari lions in that sweet Kalahari light, Vivaldo!
I like your repost more...in the OP it looks like you lifted the shadows just a bit too much.

Great light, good pose with an intent stare, ears up, and all four legs and tail in the clear make this a strong lion shot...good work here. I prefer the repost
