Lovely light captured. Where was it taken?

    Vivaldo,

Great pose and interestingly bare ground, looks just a tad to red on my monitor, but it might have been the time of day?

Thanks Prabir and Ken This loin was taken in the Kalahari Transfrontier Park South Africa. Ken you may be right on reds but it was taken first thing in the morning and colours were very really good

Great colours - the barren landscapoe really help show this guy off.

Personally I would just drop use curves to darken it slightly.

Hi Vivaldo, cool looking image, but I thought you could have upped the ISO on the D3 a fraction more, so you could have had some more DOF & SS. Is this a crop?

Russell here is a darker copy, it does look better IMO. I also reduced reds slightly

AHHA, cheers Vivaldo, I just thought it didn't quite have that edge, compared to your recent images.

Got to love those Kalahari lions in that sweet Kalahari light, Vivaldo!
I like your repost more...in the OP it looks like you lifted the shadows just a bit too much.

Great light, good pose with an intent stare, ears up, and all four legs and tail in the clear make this a strong lion shot...good work here. I prefer the repost
    cheers
