Well, without cows, you can't have cowboys/cowgals, so I am stretching the weekly theme a bit. But you have to admit that these are fine fellows (Longhorns).

    Flood, and simplify.

(the ranchers in Nebraska would love to have a "flood" filter... It is often too dry)

Mitch, one of my favorites of the Flood filter shots. Good poses, face contact, and nice job with Simplify. I could see a bit more at the bottom, not much. As it is, it works pretty good for me.

Great looking cows, Mitch, like how they are posed and placed in comp. Nicely processed and the flood effect works really well in this. Maybe just a bit more room on top.

Very nice, Mitch. Great processing and composition. You put the Flood horizon at just the right place with respect to the landscape. And I like the amount of rippling you used. To keep the longhorns as the focal point, though, I'd probably have slightly blurred and darkened the Flooded part.

    Dennis,

I think you are right. I did darken, and run a blur over the reflection, but looking at it now I think I could have done it more.

    Thanks.

Super job, Mitch. I really like the longhorns, though I wish there was a little more light on the face of the one on our left. Love the way you positioned the flood. I don't see any tip-off that it isn't real! A nicely balanced composition, with lots of interest.

This is beautiful, Mitch. The colors are awesome and great use of both simplify and food. Nicely done!

Mitch, you're fine posting cows. I'll be posting horses for this theme, which are just as important to cowboys as cows.

Great poses, and I like the flood reflection and painted feel. Well done!

Very nice, Mitch. The flood and simplify work well here. If it were mine, I think I'd try to lighten the cow on the left just a bit.

Love this for the theme! Beautiful colors and I like your creative vision adding the flood. I agree with blurring the reflection slightly and maybe a hint of blue to the reflection-but just a hint.

Hi Mitch, love the flood look for these cows and the use of Simplify. My only suggestion, if you are not opposed to such cloning would be to evict the ear tags on both cows. Very nice work!

I think I will take the tags out. Thanks for the suggestion.
