    I think this is a Lesser Scaup? Taken in St. Pete
    Canon 1 D MIII 300mm 2.8 lens w 2x
    ISO 500 f8 @1/2000
    NR and selective sharpening 40% crop

    Hi Cheryl, well exposed on the dark plumage of the head and neck, and I really like the mixture of blues and browns of the water. Placement wise, I would move the little guy a little more to the left, and take a bit off the bottom, and a little more off the top.

    Thanks Stuart. I was trying to avoid a lot more cropping but I tightened it up and I guess its ok IQ

    Cheryl you exposed this one very nicely...considering the fact that it is more than 40% crop the IQ still looks good and I liked the repost better...TFS

    The tighter version looks better as per my taste. Love the pose, the water and the title, Cheryl.
