    Default On Eggs

I took this some time ago. She was just settling down on the eggs. Just wish that I could have got closer but was limited by water and a desire not to distress the bird. Both eggs hatched! - 50% crop

    1 d MK 4, 500 + 1.4 ext, 1/1600 @ 7.1, ISO 400, EV -1/3. I think Jpeg compression is there in the BG - still having problems with this.

    Thanks Tom

Well controlled exposure, great details and the eggs are a bounus. My only minor nit is that il looks a bit centered.

Excellent exposure Tom,sharp, and Im glad the eggs are visible. Comp wise, I agree to move the bird back to the left, and I would maybe take a bit off the bottom and top.

Beautiful capture, Tom. Great to see the eggs. Might compose a little tighter and place the bird to the left.

yes to tighter crop but just worried about IQ at a 70% plus crop. Just wish I had the 800 plus 1.4 ext for this location as this would give me almost full frame images of the nest site without the need for heavy crops.
