This was taken in Costa Rica. It is the one of two flight images that turned out okay. The ocean is the BG with a breaking wave in the foreground, no bluring was applied. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

Jim, ocean as bkgd is definitely special for such a colored bird. Do they qualify as shore birds in Costa Rica? I like the top view of the wings. HA is nice too. The image misses critical sharpness though.

I like the looks of the bird as though it were flying above a cloud layer, not the ocean. Perhaps another round of sharpening . . .

Thanks Clemens and Wendell for the comments. The Macaws in the Corcovado area fly along the coastline. They are a lowland bird but I don't think they would qualify as a shorebird. I knew the image lacked in IQ but thought I would present it anyway. I will try a little more sharpening.

The soft blue/gray background contrasts perfectly with the brightly colored Macaw. Amazing colors!

    Jim,

Never seen one displayed like this flying over an Ocean, I like it allot, Perhaps a tad more sharpening, but great image, love it!

Jim, good eye contact, and the angle shows off their multi colours nicely. I like the two tone BG, and I believe you can save this if you revisit it with regards to sharpening.

Thanks everyone for the comments and suggestions. I gave it another try and this is the best I could get it.
