    Kristin:

They are funny looking guys for sure. Good balance of detail in the blacks while not blowing out the whites. You might be able to tease out a bit more detail in the whites however.
    Good head angle.

I would be tempted to crop up from the bottom to eliminate the very bottom bit of reflection.

    Cheers

Kristin, beautiful bird and difficult to expose, but great job here with details in the blacks and not blowing out the whites. Suppose you took this from a tripod, but going down lower might have even given it a more intimate feel. Well done.

I like the sharpness, exposure, HA and calm water. Well done Kristin!

Nicely exposed, maybe a crop at the bottom as Randy suggested.
It looks low enough to me, if you get too low on ducks, you miss out some of the detail, this looks about right.
Silky smooth and a duck that is on my wish list.

    Kristin,
Nice one Indeed, exposure looks great, a sliver off the bottom as suggested or clone and blend leaving the crop as is, I am undecided, thinking as I type more than likely crop... A species I have never seen and hope to run into someday!!

This bird is high on my list. We have them here but always too far out on the lake. Great finding and a pleasing presentation.
Randy's suggestion regarding the cropping of the bottom is the one I tend to agree with.

    Kristin,
Very well exposed. Excellent details, contrast & HA. Agree with above comments about slight cropping from the bottom.

Nicely exposed, with a good head angle and great detail. A lower angle was not possible from this location. Solid image!
