    Mike, a lot of nice detail captured here, sharp and well exposed.

    That's a great slash Mike. Nice exposure on the bird, good HA and good catch on the eye. I would suggest some NR on the background.

    Mike:

    A very handsome individual with nice markings on the bill and colors. Always a challenge to get things sharp when the water is flying everywhere, and you did very well here.

    I might try a version 1/4 or so of a stop brighter.

    James always puts people in the right spot for great spoonie images!

    Nice splashing shot Mike. Seems a bit dark to me and a large crop, as there is quite a bit of noise in the bkgd. Did you bring the exposure up in post? That might be the reason for the noise as well. Sharp capture.

    I like the HA, eye contact and action. I agree that NR is needed on the BG. Nice image Mike!
