    Default bathing Canadian Goose

This is from the first of November, taken at the local bird bath/sanctuary. it really had the water flying for a few minutes. Tripod mounted Nikon D300s Nikon 400mmf2.8 with 1.7 ext. @f8 1/1000 iso 800. post some basic adjustments with levels and contrast, some cropping off the bottom and right side. comments always needed.

    Randy:

Quite the deluge of flying water here. Well exposed.

The image is quite small, which makes it very hard to evaluate critically. Please post at the 1024 x 800 limits to give us a better chance to provide helpful critiques.

I think there is too much space below, and not enough to the left. if you have anymore on the left, add it back in, and consider a little off the bottom.

    Cheers

Big bird makes big splash. Agree with Randy on the crop.

Nice capture of the month's theme Randy. As for comp I think as posted it is top heavy and the bird needs to go much lower in the frame and should have more space on left side. The bird looks a bit soft but maybe that's a function of small post size as per Randy's suggestion on size.

Agree with Randy comments on the crop. More behind and less on the bottom. Exp and HA all seem fine.
