    Hi Folks;

    Brought an Brazilian King Vulture out of my archives. Painted him completely with ACDSee 14,
    Special Effects>Aged then Borders adjusted to suit. Total time about 5 minutes.

    Comments welcome & appreciated

    I love it, Gus. Great brown tones. And that eye . . .

    Very interesting piece Gus. I like the warm color tones and the big eye! Nicely framed and the drop shadow is a nice touch.

    Very cool! I really like the eye and would like to see a bit more of the bird so I could tell it was a magnificant vulture head in those very interesting swirls of mist.

    Also, here is a default Pixel Bender . . . . .

    It amazed me when the original in a note card & print was a very poor seller, had to replace every one for a Arizona bird.

    I thought he was so ugly he was beautiful

    Well, it's nice to know my taste in a mate was good

    I like the muted brown tones and the eye but would also like to see a little more detail in the bird. I LOVE the Pixel Bender version!

    Gus, very interesting and creative! The color variation of all three are excellent although my favorite is final pb version! TFS.

    Amazing how the eye can play tricks, and interpret things differently. When I look at the OP I see the eye with a beak rising to the left. When I see the second posted image I'm almost embarrased for not seeing it correctly Can anyone else see the left facing bird in the OP. I love the image even with my deranged mind .

    Dave, you are not alone... i felt the same way It is the trailing line behind the eye creating illusion of its beak.

    Hi folks;

    Thanks for looking and your kind comments. Some of you might prefer this slightly darker version of OP/

    Gus, I like all of them but I think this final post is the best! I saw (or didn't see) what Dave did in the OP and in this image you can definitely tell which way the vulture is looking but it retains it's abstract quality. Great work

    I saw exactly what you did. And had the same reaction when I saw the second post. Now that I know that different viewers see different things in it, the first post is far and away my favorite. (It might have been anyway.) There's an old image that sometimes shows up. Some people see a woman in front of a mirror; others see a skull. The alternatives in the original post aren't that different, but it's still fun.

    Count me with Dave and Dennis on how I first viewed the image. I was surprised to see the vulture was really facing right! I love the Pixel Bender image. It really brings out the colors and an emotional response.
