    Default Palm Tanager

    While the palm tanager is not the most spectacular bird, in the right light, it's a real beauty! I love the silvery feathers. Taken in Costa Rica last month on a rare sunny morning at Arenal.



    Canon 1D Mark III, 500mm + 1.4x, f/8, 1/640, ISO 400, no flash, tripod

    It is a beautiful bird Doug !!! I like being able to see his back and the head turn is very good Showing the best part of the bird !!! The distinct green shapes on the bg are somewhat distracting !!! Excellent image !!!

    The bird looks really nice. For me though there is just too much contrast between the bright bird and dark BG. Just my opinion...
