Very nice BG with good placement in the frame...Looks a bit soft especially the head and beak. Maybe revisit the image and sharpen some more.

Sachin this is really nice image and the great green adding more value to grey of BKF. seems like you lost on sharpening part.

I would give a more USM to bird .

Beautiful setup Sachin. The bg is nice and smooth but has some character. I like the profile of the bird and how it shows off the crest. I don't find the sharpness a major problem but do agree that you can probably bring it up a bit. Regardless, I really like the image.

Thanks Dumay, Mital and Dan...I think I seriously need to spend time and learn the PP...you all do a great job and most of my Images lack the punch as a result of poor PP skills. Thanks for your inputs.

A beautiful composition, perch and BG. Just sharpen the head a bit more and you have a winner,

Someday I will get a photo of a Kingfisher.
I can't seem to, so I will just appreciate photos like these.
It seems sharp enough, I wonder if 1/1000 is enough with these guys, my experience is they don't sit
still long enough even on a perch.

Nice pleasing composition with a striking BG, perhaps a tad soft in the head area but A well presented image

Nice comp and neat perch. The leaves in the corner a nice inclusion. BG looks good for the most part, but a few PP marks need to be cleaned up. A better head angle would have been great, but good pose overall.

P.S. I agree with a touch more sharpening to the face and head.

Nice lighting, comp, BG, agree on some increase in USM on the head.
Very pleasing all the same Sachin.

Like the perch and BG. Lucky you to get a nice KF frame. Some additional sharpening and a slight head turn would strengthen the image.

I think you got a great shot here especially considering how hard they are to shoot. The only punch needed I think is some sharpening on the bird. Nice natural setting

    Sachin,

Nice portrait. These kingfishers are really tough to get. They spook so easily!
