I was very surprised to see the eyes of this Great Horned Owl. All of the GHOs I have seen have bright yellow or yellow-orange eyes. I have never heard of a GHO with silver gray eyes like this one. Has anyone ever seen or heard of something like this before with a GHO?

An interesting individual! It seems that this is very rare! Here's a story of one other report - http://www.wildlifecenter.org/wp/201...ray-eyed-ghow/

    Dan,

Thanks for the link with info. I didn't find anything at all when I did a quick google search. I sent an email to my friend Wayne Lynch (Owl expert) Hopefully he will know more about it.
