    Its that time of the year to capture these beauties mating I liked the unique pose I got from these two Avocets.

    Nikon D300 AFS 600 F4 1.4 Tc

    Great capture, James. A bit of CCW rotation might be in order - based on the ripples in the water (not the slanted legs). You might experiment with adding blacks to the blacks and neutrals to see if that makes the image pop a bit more - though the image, as presented, also works very well.

    Amazing image, love the action and I'm sure they are loving it too. The only problem I have is the horizont.
